Lights Aglow Suite - Christmas in July 1st Card

July Card Class 2022 - 1st Card

Every July I hold a Christmas in July class.  The class consists of four different Christmas cards.  If you purchase $50 or more from me, you will receive the whole kit of 4 cards plus a bonus card and a PDF the recipes of each card. If anyone is like me, I send out tons of Christmas cards (around 100) and need to start preparing early so this is a perfect time.

Our new Mini catalog came out and it is filled with fun holiday cards and ideas.  I chose the Lights Aglow Suite because it offers so many opportunities for designs and creativity.  There is texture and beautiful DSP (designer series paper).  The suite includes stamp sets, coordinating dies, great sentiments, ribbon, pearls and glitter paper.  It also has foil paper which I chose not to use here.  This card design is from another demo, Laura Zimmerman, and I just loved it!

Cardstock:
  • Very Vanilla 4 1/4 in x 11, scored at 5 1/2 in (cardbase), 4 in x 1 in (sentiment), 3 3/4 in x 5 in (matt)
  • Cherry Cobbler 4 in x 5 1/4 in (matt)
  • Evening Evergreen piece for tree 4 1/4 in x 2 1/2 in
  • Soft Succulent piece for tree 4 1/4 in x 2 1/2 in
  • Lights Aglow DSP piece 4 in x 1 in
Assembly:
With the tree die cut, cut out with Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent using the Stampin’ Cut and Embossing machine or Mini machine.  Also, cut out two trees with the Glimmer Specialty Paper.  Cut out a star for the top of each tree.  Cut out sentiment tag with coordinating die in Brightest Glow Bundle.

Attach glimmer trees behind green trees (you will see through the holes of the trees) using Multipurpose Glue or Tear N’ Tape.  Do not use regular adhesive, it may not stay glued together.

With the Very Vanilla 3 ¾ x 5 in piece: stamp various sized stars all over the paper using Crumb Cake ink.  Stamp the greeting on the vanilla tag.  Adhere the trees to the vanilla piece as desired. Attach gold star on trees.  Attach to the Cherry Cobbler matt and then adhere to the card base. Adhere greeting tag to the Red DSP piece. Attach to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Add some Festive Pearls to the trees.  Remember to use an odd number.

Inside:
Stamp with stars.  I stamped the little tree in the right bottom corner with Evening Evergreen ink.  Stamp any sentiment you desire.

Don’t forget to decorate your envelope to pull everything together.  Use our Very Vanilla envelopes to coordinate.

If you do not have a personal demonstrator, I would be happy to help you.  See my FB page Brenda's Stamping Pad.  Or... order from me here, just click on any item below.
