Turtle Friends - Birthday

This cute little turtle is on a spring and jiggles when touched. I created this card for a card class and makes a perfect kids BD card or someone who likes whimsical characters. The set used is Turtle Friends and the Turtle punch. They are sold as a bundle (save 10%) or individually.

Granny Apple Green card stock: 5 1/2" x 11", scored at 4 1/4".  Strip 4 1/4" x 1/2", Piece of Scrap for punch
Basic White card stock: 3 7/8" x 2", 4" x 5 1/4" (for inside)
Crushed Curry card stock: 4" x 5 1/4" (matte)
Designer Series Paper DSP (hostess DSP): 3 7/8" x 3", Inside strip if desired 4 1/4" x 1/2"
Jewelry wire - (non SU product) - around 7 in.

Ink colors: Crushed Curry, Granny Apply Green, Tuxedo Black, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler
Blends: Granny Apple Green (set of 2: light and dark)

Fold the base card stock in half and burnish with bone folder.  Adhere Crushed Curry card stock to the base using Multipurpose Glue or Stampin' Seal.  Add the DSP piece to the Crushed Curry.

Stamp the sentiment from Turtle Friends in Crushed Curry ink on to the lower right side of the small piece of Basic White card stock.  Stamp the grass in Tuxedo Black and then shade with Granny Apple Green light blend.  Adhere to the bottom part of the Crushed Curry card stock matte.
Add the green strip across the seam of the two papers.

Stamp the turtle with Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Granny Apple Green card stock.  Stamp the shell with the shell stamp in Garden Green ink.  I filled in the toes with the Granny Apple Green blend.

Take the piece of wire and twirl on a pencil or pen.  Attach one end to the back of the turtle with a Stampin' Dimensional.  Do not remove the covering of the other side of the dimensional.

Attach the other end to the card in the desired position.  If the spring seems too long, snip wire to shorten.

For the inside, adhere the strip of DSP if desired.  Stamp the sentiment in Crushed Curry ink.  Stamp the small turtle and grass with Tuxedo Black ink and color using Granny Apple Green blends.  I stamped the inside of the shell with Garden Green ink.  The hearts stamp with done with Cherry Cobbler ink.
I added some resin heart embellishments that are now a retired product.  However, if you want embellishments, feel free to add anything that suits you.
