Hydrangea Hill Suite - Birthday

I had a challenge to create a card not using white. I decided to use the Hydrangea Hill Suite for several reasons. First, I love the whole suite and the Designer Series Paper (DSP) is gorgeous. Second, I knew it had paper with some lighter colors that you could just stamp a sentiment on. I let the DSP do all the work for me. You save money by buying the whole bundle.

Card base - Gorgeous Grape 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Mat - purple hydrangea DSP (not sure if you can see the design in the picture, very subtle), 4" x 5 1/4"
Design paper - 3 1/4" x 5". I made sure I had enough of the bluish design on top for my sentiment.
Gorgeous Grape ribbon - about 18"

Fold your Gorgeous Grape on the score line and burnish with a bone folder.

Stamp your sentiment onto the card using Gorgeous Grape ink. I used the Hydrangea Haven stamp set. You can use any sentiment that fits your needs. Adhere this to the lighter purple DSP. Wrap the ribbon around both pieces and make a bow. You may want to put one or two Glue Dots to hold the ribbon in place on the front or secure tightly on the back.

Attach this to your card base with Stampin' Dimensionals or adhesive such as our Stampin Seal or Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Pop on a few of the pearls (I usually use an odd number, mostly three).

I finished the card by putting the same DSP on the inside, only showing more bluish color for a larger sentiment. The size is 5" x 3 3/4".  Watch the direction of your paper. I stamped my sentiment before adhering to the inside card base.

That's it! Easy peasy and great for beginner stampers. Don't forget to give your envelope some love too ❤️!
