Flower & Field - Thank You

 I love turning this
into the card above!

With this card the colors pop with the black card base and was a favorite in my card classes.  Super easy too.
Black cardstock - 4 1/4" x 11", score at 5 1/2"
Pool Party cardstock - 4" x 5 1/4" (you need two pieces)
Black matting - 3 1/4" x 4"
Basic White cardstock- 2 3/4" x 1 3/8"
Flower & Field DSP (Sale-a-Bration item Jan/Feb 2021) - 3" x 3 7/8" then cut into 1" strips (3)
16" of Pool Party ribbon

Fold card in half and burnish fold using bone folder.
Take one piece of the Pool Party cardstock and run through the Stampin' Cut and Embossing Machine with the Tasteful Textures Embossing folder. This is called dry embossing.  Do not adhere to the black cardstock just yet.

Adhere the 3 pieces of 1" strips of DSP - be careful of direction and make sure the pattern lines up.  I usually adhere the two outside pieces first and add the middle piece last so that it is centered.  You should have about an 1/8' of a border.

Adhere this piece to the dry embossed Pool Party cardstock.  Take your ribbon and go around the whole piece and make a bow.  Have the bow situated on the left side.  Snip tails if too long.  Tape or glue dot to back to hold into place.   Adhere this whole piece with ribbon to the black cardstock.  I used our Multipurpose Liquid Glue but you can also pop it up with our Stampin' Dimensionals.

Next I took the small white piece and ran it through the Stampin' Cut and Embossing Machine using the Stitched With Whimsey Die (the smaller rectangle).  This does not cut through the cardstock but adds a cute stitched look.  Inside this I stamped my sentiment from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (Jan - Jun 2021 Mini Catalog). Of course, you can add any sentiment you want.  I adhered the sentiment to the card along the ribbon line (to the right of the bow) using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I finished the look but adding some Matte Black Dots.  I tend to use odd numbers but not too many.  Sometimes less is more.  Three is always a good number.

For the inside (because I have to always complete my cards), I put a 4" x 1" strip of the DSP on the bottom of the other Pool Party piece of cardstock.  Using the Daisy Lane stamp set (Annual Catalog 2020-2021), I stamped the small daisy at the top right of the card in Pool Party ink. I also stamped that daisy on my envelope to complete the look.

This is a super easy layout that can be used with many colors and designs.
